Hello out there in Internet television land. Welcome to this video blog on information technology that we call StorageTV. - Are you sick of reading the same old BS "white papers" and advertorials in the mainstream press?.
- Do you tire of conferences featuring droll speakers proffering little more than death-by-PowerPoint?.
- Wish you could get your information about products straight from the horse's mouth?.
Then, you've come to the right place. StorageTV.
StorageTV is designed to illuminate and to entertain. To examine intelligently and to poke fun at what is probably the single most boring -- and important -- area in technology today: data storage. Here you will find video clips of both industry folks and storage geeks telling us what's up and what's crap. If you think what you are hearing is smart, you can comment on it. If you think it's half-baked, say that too. StorageTV is designed like storage itself: infinitely asynchronous. Consider this an invitation...and a warning. We do not control the responses that are made to our questions by industry insiders or their customers. The language might get "jocular" and "salty" from time to time, and we have no intention of filtering it out. We believe that you ought to know the characters behind the technology you are buying, as well as the nuances of technology itself. If we do our job right, you will be able to develop your own views about what to buy (or buy into) and what to avoid like a plague. At a minimum, you may be better equipped to separate the architecture from the marketecture. So, welcome to this, the latest ambitious intiative of Toigo Partners International, the Data Management Institute, and TPI Technologies: the folks behind StorageMgt.org, StorageRevolution.com, DRPlanning.org, IT-Sense.org, and the ever popular DrunkenData.com. Registration is free because information should be free, but you have to register to see the clips and join the discussion. Them's the rulez, dawg.
